The Fifth Project Partner Meeting

Dec. 13, 2012 - Dec. 15, 2012

The Fifth Big Foot project partner meeting took place in Kalambaka, Greece, in the vicinity of the magnificent Meteora  - UNESCO World Heritage sight.

The partnership discussed the progress in the three testing municipalities, as the process was presented by the respective coordinator and watched the photos and the videos from the intergenerational activities, which will soon be available on the Big Foot website and Facebook page.

Part of the meeting was devoted to the exchange of experience with the project participants from Greece: teachers, and community activists, representatives of the older generation, shared their insights of their local issues, and the way the Big Foot approach can be helpful in their area. Their concerns were in many ways similar to those of the participants in Bulgaria and Gubbio.  What became clear is that participants in every municipality are eager to continue with the activities even after the project is finished. This was an encouraging message to the Big Foot partnership.

The partners have also discussed dissemination and exploitation activities, including the Final Conference of the Big Foot Project, which is planned to take place on June 5-6th in Vienna, Austria.

The meeting concluded with “field” excursion, where Kenakap S. A. presented to` the partners the unique natural and cultural heritage of the region, and the products of their cooperation with the local mountain communities.
